From today onwards, shoppers must pay five cents for every single-use plastic bag they take from FairPrice, Cold Storage, Giant, Sheng Siong and Prime.

从今天起，在职总平价、冷藏、巨人、昇菘以及百美超市购物时必须为每个一次性塑料袋支付五分钱。

The single-use plastic bag mandatory charge is for larger supermarket operators with an annual turnover of more than S$100 million.

一次性塑料袋强制收费适用于年营业额超过1亿新元的大型超市运营商。

Remember to pay for your own single-use plastic bag; taking a five cents plastic bag from the supermarket without paying for it, constitutes theft.

记得为自己的一次性塑料袋买单；只要擅自拿走超市里的一个五分钱塑料袋，而没付相应的费用，就构成偷窃。

P/S: Under Section 308 of the Singapore Panel Code, those who commit the crime of theft can be sentenced to up to seven years' imprisonment and a fine upon conviction.

注：根据新加坡刑法典第380节条文，犯下偷窃罪者一旦罪成，可判处最高七年的监禁以及罚款。
