Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur

(Petronas Towers a.k.a. Petronas Twin Towers)

Chatuchak Weekend Market

Thailand - Bangkok (Chatuchak Weekend Market)

Friday

Chatuchak Weekend Market, a place where tourists must visit when they are in Bangkok.

It is one of the world's largest weekend markets with more than 15,000 booths selling products from around Thailand.

Besides taxi, two other means of transports are BTS and MRT.

Alight at Mo Chit Station (BTS) or Kamphaeng Phet Station (MRT).

It is recommended to alight at Kamphaeng Phet Station instead of Chatuchak Park Station.

Always wonder does Chatuchak Weekend Market open on weekday?

Decided to visit the market on weekday evening to unveil the truth.

Surprise!

Chatuchak Weekend Market actually open on Friday!

Although not all the booths are opened for business but you can still buy things of your desire if you are willing to venture around this big market.

Tourists who are not able to stay over weekends can try visiting it on weekday.

The plus point to go on weekday is to shop at snail pace in a less less less crowded environment.

P/S: Remember to negotiate for the items you are buying. Offer a price that you feel reasonable. With the right price, the owner of the booth is more than willing to seal the deal. I call this a win-win transaction whereby you get the items at a bargain and the owner gets to earn a living.

Happy Shopping!
