Say A Prayer

Thailand - Bangkok (Phra Phikanet Huai Khwang Shrine)

In Thailand, there are many Indian Elephant God shrines but this one which located at the cross junction is the most popular.

The Elephant God (Ganesha) is the eldest son of Shiva and Pravati.

It is generally believed that seeking wealth and fame is particularly effective.

In the mind of Thais, Elephant God is equivalent to God of Wealth.

In addition to fame and fortune, Elephant God also controls luck and wisdom.

This is God Shiva and Goddess Pravati.

Donate any amount you want then pick up a bunch of flowers, a candle and five joss sticks at the counter beside the statue.

Whisper your prayer into the ear of the mouse next to the Elephant God.

Make sure that you cover the mouse's other ear so that your prayer will not slip away.

This mouse is the vehicle of the Elephant God and it is considered by Thais as the "fortune mouse".

This shrine also enshrines many deities at the same time.

Among all, God Rahu helps you exclude nasty people.

Take MRT and alight at Huai Kwang Station.

Use Exit 4 and just walk a few meters to reach.

The shrine is open to public all day for worship.

P/S: Remember to return the favour when your wish is fulfilled.
