Originally established on July 15, 1845 as the The Straits Times and Singapore Journal of Commerce, in the early days of British colonial rule.
The very first letter to forum was published on July 29, 1845.
The Straits Times "Writer Of The Week" is a weekly column.
It features profiles of various Forum writers.
