Cannot remember since when, Singaporeans have habitually celebrated National Day as the country’s birthday.

记不清从什么时候开始，新加坡人民就习惯性地把国庆日当作国家的生日来庆祝。

On August 10, the National Day Heartland Carnival was held in five districts: Bishan, Yishun, Punggol, Paya Lebar, and Buona Vista.

8月10日，国庆邻里嘉年华在碧山、义顺、榜鹅、巴耶利峇和波那维斯达五个地点举办。

Over 160,000 residents attended the National Day Heartland Carnival.

超过16万民众参加了国庆邻里嘉年华。

There were activity booths, live performances and fireworks displays.

现场设有活动摊位、现场表演和烟花表演。

Minister for Home Affairs, Mr K. Shanmugam was there too.

内政部长尚穆根先生也在场。

After a series of wonderful drone shows and a dazzling fireworks display, Singapore’s 59th Heartland Birthday Party concluded perfectly.
