Every fifteenth of the eighth lunar month is Mid-Autumn Festival.
There is a saying, Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival that comes from the legend of "Chang'E Flying To The Moon".
Chang'E is a Chinese mythological figure.
She was extraordinary beautiful, gentle and virtuous, and wife of Hou Yi.
In the mythology, Hou Yi shot down nine suns, the Queen Mother of the West thanked him by conferred him an immortality elixir.
Hou Yi got Chang'E to safe guard the elixir.
Hou Yi's disciple Peng Meng coveted the elixir, forced Chang'E to hand over the elixir, she reluctantly swallowed the elixir and flew to the sky.
After Chang'E flew to the moon, she lived in the Moon Palace and separated from her husband Hou Yi.
Chang'E flying to the Moon is one of China's ancient folklores.

有说中秋节这个中国传统节日是从《嫦娥奔月》这则民间传说而来。
嫦娥原称姮娥、常娥，是中国神话人物。
她美貌非凡、温柔贤慧，为后羿之妻。
神话中后羿射下九个太阳后，西王母赐其不老仙药。
后羿不舍得吃下，就交于嫦娥保管。
后羿门徒蓬蒙觊觎仙药，逼迫嫦娥交出仙药，嫦娥无奈情急之下吞下仙药，便向天上飞去。
嫦娥飞上月球后，便居住在月亮上面的广寒宫之中，从此与丈夫后羿天地相隔。
嫦娥奔月是中国古代民间传说之一。
