The Straits Times Forum Writers' Dialogue

Singapore - Singapore Press Holdings Auditorium

November 13, 2015, 6.45pm

The Straits Times Forum Writers' Dialogue

There were around 200 forum writers attending the annual gathering.

Opening speech by Mr Warren Fernandez, editor.

"The very first letter was published on July 29, 1845. So all of you belong to a very long and distinguished tradition."

Elaborating on how letters were chosen for publication was Ms Liaw Wy-Cin, Forum editor.

"We want the Forum platform to remain a formal, civil platform; some letters are rejected because they are more emotion than argument."

Around 24,000 letters were received in the first nine months of this year and 3,670 of  them were published.

Top list of most talked-about topics.

People behind the scenes.

Q & A Session.

What was in the door gift.

P/S: Really a privilege to be invited for the dialogue and hope that I can attend it every year.
