In the past, we all called the Lunar New Year the Chinese New Year.

以前我们都把农历新年称为华人新年。

But some time ago, some people changed the address of the Chinese New Year to the Lunar New Year.

但前段时间，有些人把华人新年的称呼改为农历新年。

Is Chinese New Year the Lunar New Year?

华人新年是农历新年吗？

Strictly speaking, Chinese New Year is not Lunar New Year.

严格来说华人新年不是农历新年。

The traditional Chinese calendar can be traced back to the Han Dynasty.

中国传统历法可以追溯到汉代。

It is a lunisolar calendar that combines solar, lunar and other cycles.

是一种将太阳、月亮和其他周期融合在一起的阴阳历。

For social and agricultural purposes.

用于社会和农业目的。

The traditional Chinese calendar uses the sexagenary cycle, a repeating system of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, to mark years, months, and days.

传统中国历法使用干支纪年法（天干地支的循环系统）来标记年、月、日。

This system, along with astronomical observations and mathematical calculations, was developed to align solar and lunar cycles, though some approximations are necessary due to the natural differences between these cycles. 

该系统与天文观测和数学计算一起发展起来，以协调太阳和月亮的周期，尽管由于这两个周期之间存在自然差异，因此需要进行一些近似计算。

Before the pandemic, I went to the Singapore Buddhist Lodge almost every month.

After many years, I came to the Singapore Buddhist Lodge again and found that many changes have occurred here.

The original dining hall at the entrance is replaced by a spacious hall.

入口处原来的斋堂被一个宽敞的大厅所取代。

This used to be where devotees offered rice, oil and other offerings, but now it is brighter and cleaner.

这里曾经是信徒们供奉米、油等供品的地方，现在更加明亮、整洁。

So where has the dining hall moved to now?

那现在斋堂移位到哪了呢？

Now, the dining hall has moved to the basement.

如今，斋堂移位到了地下层。

There are motorcycle slots right next to the dining hall.

斋堂旁边就有摩托车停车位。

To the left of the dining hall is the dishwashing area.

餐厅的左侧是洗碗区。

On the right side of the restaurant is the meal serving area.

餐厅右侧是供餐区。

The vegetarian food is still as delicious as before.

素食还是一如既往的美味。

Go up to the office on the second floor to make a donation.

Since the pandemic, the services of many well-known airline brands have deteriorated!

Flight delays are one of those nightmares.

The delay just gave us a chance to visit the new terminal.

这次延误正好给了我们参观新航站楼的机会。

The new terminal is vast and quiet.

新航站楼宽敞而安静。

The new terminal has more employees than passengers.

新航站楼的员工比旅客还多。

The departure lounge is also more spacious than at the old airport.

候机室也比旧机场宽敞。

The toilets are more prominent and cleaner than the old airport.

厕所比老机场更显眼、更干净。

After waiting more than two hours, finally catch a flight home.

经过两个多小时的等待，终于搭上了回家的航班。

New Year Party 新年派对

Today I once again witnessed the friendliness and hospitality of Thai people.

The hotel hosted the party entirely at its own expense.

酒店是完全自费来办这场派对。

In addition to the food, all partygoers will enjoy free alcohol and beverages.

除了食物外，所有派对参与者还可享用免费的酒类和饮料。

The party also set up a special stage and invited singers to perform and sing.

派对还专门设立了舞台，邀请歌手登台表演、献唱。

Although the party was not luxurious or fancy, it was full of sincerity.

虽说派对非豪华、华丽，却看到了满满的诚意。

Everybody comes to the beach to countdown to a new year.

But the size of the carry-on cabin size luggage on this weird Spring Airlines is really speechless.

When the generally accepted carry-on luggage size is 20 inches, this strange airline only allows 14 inches.

Many helpless international passengers like us at the airport were "robbed" of a 300 RMB check-in fee by this weird airline.
