But anything that moves can malfunction.

但凡是会动的东西都会出故障。

Just happened to encounter this "lucky" thing a few days ago.

前几天正好遇到了这个“幸运”的事情。

The elevator was out of order, and wheelchairs could not get onto the platform.

电梯故障，轮椅无法上站台。

I was asked to take a bus ride to the previous MRT station.

我被要求乘坐巴士前往之前的地铁站。

So, this was how I got to experience the complimentary MRT ride.

所以就有了这次免费乘地铁的经历。

In conjunction with World Blood Donor Day, the Singapore Red Cross and the Health Sciences Authority held an award ceremony.

配合世界捐血者日，新加坡红十字会联合卫生科学局举行颁奖典礼。

The organisers also provide guests with a tea reception.

主办方还为来宾准备了茶会。

The ceremony started with a drumming performance that filled the venue.

典礼一开场就是响彻会场的击鼓表演。

This was followed by speeches by several invited guests, including Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State for Communications and Information and Health.

接下来就是由一众的受邀嘉宾，包括通讯及新闻部兼卫生部政务部长拉哈尤的演说。

Following the speeches, an awards ceremony recognised the contributions of long-time blood donors and blood donation champion organisations.

演说完毕后，就是颁奖典礼，表彰长期捐血者和捐血冠军组织的贡献。

I was also honoured enough to receive the Ruby A​award.

本人也很荣幸得了个红宝石奖。

Small Mirror 小镜子

Recently noticed a small mirror in the cubical in the public toilet!

最近注意到公共厕所的隔间里有一个小镜子！

Thought the mall was so considerate that it installed small mirror in the cubical so that the toilet users could touch up their appearance after doing big business.

还以为商场那么贴心，隔间里安装了小镜子，方便上厕所的人做完大事后可以修饰一下自己的尊容。

A closer look revealed that it was installed by the Singapore Police Force.

仔细一看，发现是新加坡警察部队安装的。

The purpose is to prevent peeping toms.

目的是为了防止偷窥狂。

Since when men are also targeted by peeping toms.

曾几何时，男人也被偷窥狂盯上。

Missed the Vesak Day Ceremony 爽约卫塞节仪式

It is the annual three-step-one-bow day again.

又是一年一度的三步一拜的日子。

I missed the three-step-one-bow ceremony this year because I felt unwell, had a cold, and had body aches!

我因为身体不适、感冒、全身酸痛而爽约了今年的三步一拜的仪式！
